Sitemap Development

The first step in the design process is to develop a graphical representation of the website. Sitemaps are useful in determining the best way logically group and organize your site's content, which has significant implecations for choosing an appropriate naviagation system. It also allows stakeholders to conceptualize and discuss the web site as a whole. In developing the sitemap we work to identify gaps in the content and work to structure the site in a way that provides the best experience for the intended audience.

Content Inventory

Using the sitemap as a guide, a content inventory takes stock of all existing content (copy, images, etc) and defines all content that is needed for the website redesign. Generally in form of a spreadsheet, the content inventory help us and you keep track of deadlines and of missing content as to avoid any suprises when your website is ready for launch.

Wireframes

Wireframes present the layout and structure of the website stripped of design elements. A wireframe is a graphic consisting of simple geometric shapes and labels representing regions (i.e. banners, navigation, content, etc) on the site. Using the site structure developed in the sitemap and content inventory, wireframes allow us to think about and work through the implications of the navigation and content layouts. Generally, a wireframe is composed for every portion of the site with unique layout, such as the home page, a sub-page, and a product gallery.

The place where it all comes together. Using the results from the previous steps our designers set upon the client-approve wireframe layout creating stunning graphic and user-interfaces that truly highlight and support the website's content and structure.
