In late 2009 we began web design and development projects with Suddath, a 90 year old Jacksonville-based company that specializes in residential moving, warehousing, freight transportation, and portable storage & logistics. Since then, we've helped them re-design 4 of their largest websites including Suddath International which was recently launched. This project presented several unique challenges from a user experience standpoint as a diverse audience visits the website. Suddath International offers a wide range of relocation and consulting services that are specific to different industries and one of the main objectives of the website was to appeal to all of the user groups.
We incorporated two sets of motion graphics for the homepage that would allow us to take full advantage of the primary "real estate" on the homepage. We really wanted to take movement to a different level on this site so we implemented one Flash-based image and text rotator and one jQuery-based dynamic form submission box.
On most websites, when the "Contact Us" call to action button is clicked it takes the user to a different contact page. On the Suddath International site, it "slides" across and the form is made visible for the user to submit it right there on the homepage. We really pushed the envelope on this technique and the SI Team was really happy with the results.
We're in the process of finishing up our re-design of the Suddath Government website and we've also had our preliminary designs approved on the Suddath Relocation Services site. Please check back with us as we post updates, and as always, if you'd like to learn more about how we can help you re-design your website please contact us to schedule a meeting.
